About my work
She got great pleasure from painting, sewing and pottery.
About
Jean met her husband, Richard at Chesterfield Art School. She showed and sold her work at a Chesterfield Gallery. They lived in Dallowgill for many years, high above the Yorkshire Dales, and had been influenced by the wilderness of the countryside and the amazing coastline. These were the source of her inspiration for paintings and collage of hares, flowers, sea shore, pebbles and shells.
They showed their work at home every year on the Nidd Art Trail. Jean had also exhibited at the March Hare Gallery in Ripon, the Mercer Gallery in Harrogate and Fountains Hall in Studley Royal Park.
