Summerbridge Methodist Church is in the heart of the beautiful Nidderdale countryside and our venue is accessible just off the main B6165 road, between Ripley and Pateley Bridge.
We are looking forward to welcoming you to our annual NiddArt Trail exhibition, featuring a number of local artists and creatives, working in a huge variety of different media, some of which will be available for sale..
We will also be hosting:
• Free Creative Kids Day: Monday 18th August 1-5 pm for primary school age children to enjoy games and art and craft activities, including creating works of art for display at the exhibition. Book via creativekids.smc@gmail.com
• Free Art and Craft Exhibition: Friday 22nd August 11-4pm, Saturday 23rd August 11am-4pm. Sunday 24th August 1-4pm Monday 25th August 11-4pm. For information contact: summerbridgechurch@gmail.com
• Free Drawing Workshop: Saturday 23rd August, led by Mike Bailey in the Church Annex from 10:30 am – 12:30 pm. The theme is ‘ Breaking waves’. Bring your own images or use some of ours as inspiration. Creating monochrome artwork in pencil, charcoal, pastels or pen/ink wash. All materials provided. • Free poetry readings: Bring your own poetry, a favourite poem or just listen to others read. In the Church Annex, on Friday 22nd August 3-3.30pm, Saturday 23rd August 1-1.30pm, Sunday 24th August 1.30-2pm and Monday 25th August 11.30am-12pm and 1.30-2pm. • Free Collage Workshops: Friday 22nd August 1 – 2pm, Saturday 23rd August 2 – 3pm, Sunday 24th August 2.30 – 3pm, Monday 25 August 2.30 – 3.30pm. All materials provided. Open to all ages. Run by Alan Jordan: alanjordan1951@gmail.com
There is no charge for events, but donations would be welcomed for All We Can – the Methodist Relief and Development Charity.
Throughout the event, there will be delicious refreshments available, including gluten free and vegan, with more extensive refreshments available during our HUB Commmunity Cafe on Wednesday from 9-11.30am.
There is car parking in front of the church and on the road and there are disabled toilets on site. We are a wheelchair accessible building, via the ramp to the side of the building. The ere baby changing facilities in two of the toilets.
