Inspiration for Liz’s work comes from the landscapes and environments she lives in and travels to. There is an emphasis on exploring colour, light, form and layers observed in landscapes and natural forms. Drawn to the experiences and atmospheres of landscapes, Liz’s work evokes a sense of place and season through layers and colour. The works are abstractions of observations, all relating to specific sites.
Liz is a fine artist, specialising in painting, drawing and mixed media works. Following a long and happy teaching career, both in the UK and internationally, Liz is now settled in North Yorkshire , where she has a teaching studio in which to work and share her practice.
Liz runs regular workshops and classes from her studio and in the surrounding area.
