About

I have worked as a community artist and adult education teacher for over 20 years, delivering learning in Textiles, mosaic, print, painting and drawing. I was a workshop leader at Henshaws Arts & Crafts Centre Knaresborough from 2014-2020, enabling adults with a disability to make paintings, drawings and prints both for products such as textiles bags and tea towels, and for exhibition. I also run art and spirituality retreats and am currently writing a weekly art meditation for Leeds Methodist Mission. I have an MA in Printmaking, a teaching certificate, and a foundation diploma in Art Therapy. Please contact me via email if you would be interested in taking part in any future adult education workshops.

My work

About my work

I work in printmaking and installation, often combining the two at exhibition. I print using silkscreen, collagraph, drypoint, linocut and wood lithography, and am currently working on a series of prints based on the Celtic Tree Calendar. I am also working towards a one-person show in 2021 at the Dye House Gallery Bradford called ‘Then I’ll Begin’, which explores the themes of loss, mourning, healing and hope. Some of the work on show for the trail are from this body of work. Recent works include Taste and See (letterpress and artists book), commissioned by Leeds Church Institute, and Shrive (foil, wood, ribbon), made for Crossings, a group exhibition at Southwell Minster.
