I try to capture the essence of light and memories of childhood in my paintings. Art is so evocative and can transport you to wonderful places in your mind. I paint in oils and my paintings vary from flowers, animals, children, landscape. I paint what I see and my love of nature and the animals that we keep on our small holding gives me no end of inspiration for subject matter.
I seem to have painted most of my life. Coming from an artistic &, musical family there was always something to look at, sing or play a musical instrument. I married my husband Terry Logan who is also an artist. We have run our own galleries in Skipton, Gargrave, Grassington and Ripley and now paint from our Home Studio in the quiet village of Shaw Mills. For the last 25 years I have been fundraising for Blood Cancer UK, and am proud to be connected to this Charity. You may recognise me as I am one of the Original Calendar Girls in the infamous WI.
