About my work
By placing the concept of ‘Biophilia’ and scientific evidence supporting the benefits of green exercise alongside personal responses valuing psychological immersion within landscape Jane has developed a practice creating collages and hangings using dyed silk, mixed media and found objects, both natural and man made. Most recent work depicts clooties (strips of fabric) tied to ‘wish trees’ as a symbol of hope, which will be exhibited at Craven Arts House in Skipton over August. Smaller silk & mixed media work and landscape oil paintings will be exhibited at Pateley Bridge Memorial Hall for NiddArt.
