Helen takes a unique approach to fused glass and she loves to combine it with other media such as felt and found object including driftwood. Inspiration for her work is very much the rural environment and landscape of the Dales and the plants, animals and birds which make it their home. Other inspiration comes from visits to her parents in Cumbria on the South Lakes peninsular.
With a long held love of art and coming from a family of artists Helen is a self taught fused glass artist who also loves to incorporate many of the other media in which she has worked over the years. When not creating art she is a busy mum to 2 children who also loves to spend time outside both in the hills and in her garden as well as sitting at her sewing machine creating the clothes which make up her unique dress sense. As well as being part of the fabulous little gallery Jack Albert & Gill 2 in Pateley Bridge, Helen is also to be found out and about with her gazebo at a wide range of local Artisan markets every weekend.
