Fiona gets inspiration from her surroundings and places she’s visited to paint abstract and semi-abstract acrylic landscapes. Her current work is centred around water and includes rivers, seas and the canals of Venice. She creates layers of colour and texture and likes experimenting with unusual tools to paint with, such as plastic, cardboard, nails, cotton reels, etc; whatever’s around! And usually without the use of brushes! Here signature trait is including a bee in all her paintings. ‘Without bees there is no life, and without life there is no landscape!’
